Why I’m Starting This 365 Day Journey

There comes a point in life when you look around and realize that somewhere along the way, you became a version of yourself that was built around survival rather than authenticity.

Over the last few years, I have slowly come to understand that I wasn’t living as the person I truly am. I was checking boxes, fulfilling obligations, and doing what I thought I was supposed to do. While there is honor in responsibility, I began to feel disconnected from myself.

I missed the parts of me that loved books, quiet mornings, learning for the sake of learning, and finding beauty in ordinary moments.

This 365-day journey is my commitment to rediscovering that person.

For the next year, I am intentionally focusing on becoming. Not becoming someone new, but becoming more fully myself.

I want to cultivate a life that feels thoughtful, intellectual, creative, and deeply meaningful. I want to read more, learn more, move my body, strengthen my relationships, nurture my spiritual life, and create a home filled with warmth and intention.

The aesthetic that resonates most with me is dark academia – not simply because of the clothing or decor, but because of the values underneath it. Curiosity. Reflection. Lifelong learning. Romanticizing ordinary life. Appreciating history, literature, art, and beauty.

This journey is not about perfection. It is not about achieving an unrealistic version of myself. It is about small, daily actions that align with the life I want to create.

One day at a time.

One page at a time.

One cup of coffee at a time.

By this time next year, I hope to look back and see a woman who trusted herself enough to become who she was always meant to be.

Welcome to day one.
